A mobile organizer and dispenser for large, heavy coils of PP or PET strapping. It improves workflow efficiency by enabling easy transportation and tangle-free payout of straps across the workspace
Shanghai We Pack Co., Ltd. is a PP/PET Strap Dispenser manufacturer within the broader Packaging Tool line, alongside electric and pneumatic strapping machines, tensioners and buckles. These units are mobile organizers for large, heavy coils of polypropylene and polyester strapping — the same strap families we produce as PP Packing Strap and PET Packing Strap. A dispenser keeps payout tangle-free, moves the coil to the load instead of the load to the coil, and holds strap ready for tensioning and sealing at the container door, the pallet line or the bundling bench.
Founded in 2019 as a subsidiary of Shanghai Dreammao Packaging Technology Co., Ltd., we run a 10,000 m² facility with 120 employees, dedicated R&D, testing and quality control teams, and 9 production lines. Our work covers cargo securing, transport protection and loading optimization, so a dispenser is specified together with the strap, the tensioning tool and the packing station it serves — not as a standalone accessory.
Three models cover the common coil formats and duty levels in PP and PET strapping. Each is built around the same working principle: a frame that carries the coil, a hub that lets it rotate under control, and a payout path that feeds strap to the operator without twists, kinks or tangles.
| Model | Strap type | Position in the range | Typical work station |
|---|---|---|---|
| H405 Premium PET Strap Dispenser | PET (polyester) strapping | Premium platform for large, heavy PET coils where payout control and frame stability matter most | High-volume pallet, coil and bundle strapping with PET as the primary strap |
| PJ500 Economical PP/PET Strap Dispenser | PP and PET | Value-focused dual-material dispenser for sites that switch strap by job or run both materials | Mixed packing lines, distribution warehouses, multi-product dispatch bays |
| P201 PP Strap Dispenser | PP (polypropylene) strapping | Dedicated PP dispenser for carton bundling and light-to-medium unitizing | Manual and semi-automatic PP strapping stations, carton lines, order-picking benches |
Mobility is part of the design intent across the range. The dispenser travels with the job rather than forcing operators to walk back to a fixed coil stand, which matters most where loads are strapped at the container door or at the end of a packing line.
Strapping is a three-part operation: payout, tension, seal. The dispenser owns the first part and influences the other two. When strap arrives flat and untwisted, the tensioner reaches working load with fewer pulls, the seal sits square, and the joint holds the tension that was set.
PP and PET behave differently on payout. PP is more ductile and stretches under tension; PET is stiffer, carries higher tensile load and recovers less. A dispenser that performs well on one material is not automatically right for the other, which is why the model is selected against the strap and coil the site actually buys.
Dispensers are configured around the packing station rather than sold as a single fixed build. The choices below are the ones that change how the unit behaves on the floor.
Where the dispenser feeds a semi-automatic or automatic strapping station, the payout height and strap path are aligned with the machine infeed so the operator is not fighting the dispenser between cycles. We confirm the interface points with the line layout before the order is released.
A dispenser earns its place where packing labour meets transport protection. In container stuffing, it can be positioned at the door so the operator straps units without leaving the load. In a warehouse, it can be assigned to a bay and shared across shifts. In production, it can feed a semi-automatic strapping station on the line.
We treat the dispenser as part of the same loading plan as dunnage bags, paper corner protectors and slip sheets. The objective is a load that arrives intact, with the securing system planned as one package rather than assembled from separate purchases.
Our quality system runs from raw material to finished goods, supported by in-house R&D, testing and quality control teams. Packaging products in the range are tested to AAR, SGS and TUV standards, and the management system is built on ISO 9001 processes. Samples are available for trial before a production order, and OEM/ODM work is handled by the same engineering team that supports the standard range.
For dispensers, the acceptance points that matter are mechanical and practical:
The configuration step is short when the strap and station are known. These are the inputs that determine the model, the hub and the payout geometry.
| Project input | What it determines |
|---|---|
| Strap material — PP, PET or both | Model family and payout geometry |
| Strap width and thickness | Guide clearance and payout eye |
| Coil mass, core diameter and coil width | Hub, frame and brake sizing |
| Workstation type — floor, bench, container door or line | Mobile or fixed build, payout height |
| Tensioning tool in use | Payout height and tool holder position |
| Throughput and shift pattern | Number of dispensers per bay |
| Environment — indoor, dock, dusty or damp | Finish and caster selection |
| Branding and packaging requirements | OEM/ODM scope and carton marking |
A photo or drawing of the current coil and workstation shortens the configuration step further, particularly where the site is replacing a fixed coil stand or a homemade payout arrangement.
The standard scope is the dispenser unit, assembly and setup instructions, and any consumables ordered with it. Where the dispenser is part of a larger strapping package, we coordinate packing lists so the dispenser, strap, buckles and tools arrive together and can be commissioned in one visit to the bay.
Dispensers are mechanical units with a short wear list: casters, brake element and strap guide. We identify these against the model reference so they can be planned into routine maintenance rather than discovered during a breakdown. Units ship from our Shanghai factory, roughly 25 km from Shanghai Port, which keeps export consolidation straightforward for mixed orders.
The H405 is the premium PET platform for large, heavy coils where payout control and frame stability are the priority. The PJ500 is the economical dual-material unit for sites running both PP and PET. The P201 is the dedicated PP dispenser for carton bundling and lighter unitizing work.
Yes — the PJ500 is built for that. PP and PET differ in stiffness and stretch behaviour, so the payout eye and brake setting are matched to the material being run. Where a site uses both, we set the dispenser up for the dominant strap and confirm the changeover points for the other.
Mobile units suit container stuffing, dispatch bays and multi-point packing where the load moves. A fixed floor stand suits a dedicated strapping bay with a stable layout and a single strap type. Both are available, and the choice usually follows the workstation type rather than the strap.
We do. PP and PET packing strap, electric and pneumatic strapping machines, manual tensioners, automatic strapping machines and buckles come from the same portfolio, so the dispenser, strap and tensioning tool can be specified as one system with a matched strap path.
OEM/ODM customization covers frame colour, labelling and packaging to your programme, alongside the mechanical configuration. Samples are available for trial before a production order so the build can be checked on your own strap coil.
Strap material, width and thickness; coil mass, core diameter and coil width; the workstation type and tensioning tool in use; throughput per shift; and any branding or packaging requirements. With those inputs we can confirm the model, the hub and the payout configuration.
