Client Background: The client is a distributor from South America, primarily supplying packaging materials to local seafood export companies. They needed a pallet that could support heavy seafood while being made of a flexible material to prevent scratching the outer packaging cartons.

Initial Challenges: After sending initial samples, the client reported that the edges were too sharp, potentially damaging cartons or workers, and that the load-bearing capacity and flexibility did not fully meet their requirements. We immediately initiated an improvement process and communicated extensively with the client to clarify their actual application scenarios and standards.

Solution: Design Optimization: The pallet's edges were rounded, significantly reducing the risk of scratching cartons and workers.

Thickness and Load-Bearing Capacity Adjustment: Based on the client's load-bearing requirements, the thickness was recalculated and increased to ensure structural stability and tear resistance.

Material Analysis: We proactively suggested the client send their existing samples. Through component analysis, we precisely formulated a material with the same softness and feel, while controlling the cost ratio to align with the client's goals.

Multiple Sample Versions: We provided the client with three edge designs—right angle, chamfered, and rounded—and three sample thicknesses—0.9mm, 1.2mm, and 1.5mm—for actual loading tests.

Results: The client was satisfied with the secondary samples in terms of load-bearing capacity, flexibility, and edge safety. After passing the initial tests, we assisted the client in conducting final bulk production samples. Through this collaboration, we demonstrated our capabilities in rapid response, accurate analysis, and flexible customization, providing the client with a packaging solution truly tailored to their end-user needs.
